What changed in the latest release
VRC Nexus 1.2.31 — GPU/renderer crash fix.
Resolves the out-of-memory crashes (GPU + renderer, exitCode 0x80000003 / STATUS_BREAKPOINT) reported by multiple users on 1.2.30:
- Removed the GPU driver-blocklist override in 'gpu' perf mode — flaky drivers now fall back to software instead of hard-crashing the GPU process (kept GPU rasterization + zero-copy for good drivers).
- Pause GPU-heavy CSS animations and backdrop-filters on the main window while it is hidden/occluded (e.g. while you are in VRChat), so GPU memory no longer grows unseen until it OOMs. Renderer keeps running for OSC/data; offscreen overlays are unaffected.

What is VRC Nexus?
VRC Nexus is an OSC companion app for VRChat. This is the place to find desktop access, Meta Quest release information, and the Nexus Discord community.
What does OSC do?
OSC stands for Open Sound Control. It lets compatible apps and devices exchange messages with VRChat, including chatbox messages and avatar parameters.
How do I get the desktop app?
Use Download for Windows to get the latest VRC Nexus desktop release. For setup help, join the official Nexus Discord.
Where can I find the Meta Quest app?
VRC NEXUS QUEST is available on the Meta Horizon Store. Use the Meta Quest link on this page to visit its listing and install it through Meta.
Does this preview send messages to VRChat?
No. The interactive chatbox on this page runs only in your browser. It does not connect to VRChat, send OSC messages, or play notification audio.
How do I enable OSC in VRChat?
Open the VRChat Action Menu, choose OSC, then Enabled. Follow the setup instructions for your Nexus app. For connection problems, check the official VRChat OSC guide or ask in the Nexus Discord.
